​Dr Gurvinder Kaur has a teaching experience of more than 22 years. She passed her MBBS from DMC&H, Ludhiana in the year 1999 and was honoured with the best graduate award. She passed her MS (Ophthalmology) from Government Medical College, Patiala in the year 2003.
She has undergone Training course for Phacoemulsification with intraocular lens implantation at I-Care Eye Hospital and Research Centre, Noida. She has also undergone ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital Program for training in Pediatric Ophthalmology esp. cataract, squint, oculoplasty, cornea and retina. She has undergone Training course for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at Christian Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana.

She has undergone training in Basic Medical Education, Attitude, Ethics and Communication (AETCOM) and Curriculum Implementation Support Programme (CISP) at Regional Centre, Christian Medical College, Ludhiana.

She is working as Professor and Head in the Department of Ophthalmology, DMC&H, Ludhiana. Her areas of expertise include all types of cataract surgeries, glaucoma and pediatric ophthalmology. She has a special interest in community based rehabilitation of blind.

She has more than 30 publications (National and International) and more than 60 presentations and guest lectures at various conferences. She is also the reviewer of various journals. She is actively involved in undergraduate and post graduate teaching program.
